This is the protein powder I’ve used for years and I always find the best deals on it here! It’s a whey isolate so it’s going to be a leaner protein powder which is great if you’re tying to lose weight or stay lean. It tastes great by itself and it’s easy to mix! I always recommend this protein to my clients as well
I normally buy 1st phorm. It's like $50-$70 for a bottle bigger than this one. 1stphorm doesn't upset my belly and tastes good.. THIS stuff is amazing. I use in milk and it doesn't have a chalk flavor for me personally. For the price, I like it a lot.
Dymatize ISO100 has hands down become my go-to protein powder. I have now tried 9 flavors, they are (in no particular order):- Chocolate Caramel- Chocolate Peanut Butter- Cinnamon Bun- Cocoa Pebbles- Cookie and Cream- Fudge Brownie- Gourmet Chocolate- Gourmet Vanilla- StrawberryThere are really four main factors that matter to me in a protein powder; How well does it mix, What's actually in it, how much does it cost, and the most important factor of all, taste.1) How well does it mix:It mixes great, zero complaints on this front. It borderline mixes too well. I typically have my protein in one of two ways; a shaker bottle with a metal shaker, mixed with water or milk, or a protein shake/smoothie mixed in a ninja blender. In both situations, I have zero issues with the mix. Never comes out clumpy or lumpy. Some of the flavors mix so well they come out very foamy (more so than other powders) and I actually have to wait a bit so I'm not just drinking bubbles.2) What's in it?:I am not a supplement expert, but Dymatize's ISO100 has significantly less cholesterol than a lot of competitors, and that's good enough for me. This factor matters the least to me, I don't look too much into ingredient labels, but heart disease does run in my family, so avoiding unnecessary cholesterol, which is common in a lot of powders, is a big plus.3) Cost:I think the price is exceptional for the product. Sometimes there will be great deals here on Amazon for specific flavors. I will get to it in the next section, but even though I do not think Dymatize has the hands-down best flavors, for the cost I couldn't be happier.4) Taste:THE BIG ONE!!! Gourmet Chocolate is without question my absolute favorite chocolate flavored protein powder. Totally subjective obviously, but I don't think anything else even really comes close, and I've tried a pretty extensive selection of chocolates. For a reference point that a lot of people can relate to, I do not like Optimum Nutrition's chocolate at all, I think it's pretty disgusting.I am giving an overall rating of 4 stars because aside from gourmet chocolate and cookies and cream, I do not think any of the other flavors I've tried are out of this world. Look above for the list of all the chocolate variants I've had. I won't bother buying any of them again, because the gourmet chocolate is just plain better than all of the others. The flavor difference is minimal enough that I don't care for them to add variety, but big enough that I see no reason to waiver from the king.Chocoloate Peanut Butter is an outlier on the chocolates, It's really good too, BUT when I want a chocolate peanut butter flavor, I think it tastes way better to just use gourmet chocolate, and then add a tablespoon or two of peanut butter powder, like PB Fit. It's a small amount more calories for a lot more protein and a much less artificial flavor.Cookies and Cream is my second favorite. It's also super delicious. Now that I've experimented with most of the flavors, I will probably just be buying cookies and cream and gourmet chocolate, so that I don't get bored of one.Gourmet vanilla and cinnamon bun are fine. If you really like those flavors I have no complaints.Strawberry I could not get to taste good in a smoothie. Just wouldn't sit right with me. Mixed with just almond milk it's pretty yummy though. I got pretty tired of this flavor pretty fast and will likely not buy it again. I'm generally not crazy about fruit flavored protein powders though. So, I didn't give 5 stars because not every flavor is my favorite. What is you might ask? I really love Ghost Protein. I think they have the best flavors if you want 3 or more choices. Their coffee flavor is my favorite protein of all time. BUT, Ghost is a lot more expensive. The ISO100 makes me a lot happier when I remember I'm spending quite a bit less per scoop (I usually buy the 3 lb tubs of ISO100, which is obviously cheaper per oz). It just comes down to price to performance, and right now ISO100 wins it for me. I still buy Ghost from time to time because I like it so much.Just for funsies here is my fairly generic protein smoothie I have almost every morning for my breakfast.1 scoop of either Gourmet Chocolate -or- Cookies and Cream ISO100.3/4 cup milk2 tablespoons peanut butter powder (I like PB Fit)1 whole frozen banana1/4-1/2 cup frozen black coffee ice cubes (you can of course just use regular ice cubes)About 35-40g of protein for a 350-400 calorie smoothie that tastes BANGIN.If you try it out, blend the milk, PB powder, and protein together first. Then add the coffee ice cubes and blend for 30 seconds to a minute. Then add the banana and blend to desired thickness, another 30 seconds - 1 minute. If you try to do it all at once, there are too many cold ingredients and the protein and PB powder won't blend as well as it normally would otherwise.OBLIGATORY FINAL SENTENCE IN ALL CAPS ABOUT GETTING THEM GAINZZZ.

Bought 3 flavors (Dunkin Donut Glazed Donut, Chocolate, Vanilla) to try while they were on NY sale. I've been drinking some variation of protein shakes for about 10 years, so I feel like I have some context. Here are my thoughts :Vanilla-Liked:- low point value (Weight Watchers)- relatively ok flavor with no weird aftertaste like a lot of vanilla flavored things have- good protein content- Blends easily with yogurt and berries for smoothies, but also mixed ok with just WaterDislikes:- Flavor is decently Meh (like, definitely a protien-ie flavor)- Gotta shake it a lot with water to blend, still get chunks otherwise- found some weird plastic string in mine (Hence part of a point knocked off)- slight stomach issues afterChocolate-Likes :- Everything! The flavor is good, it mixes well, its almost a treat. If I were just reviewing this flavor, I'd wish there were 6 stars. Better than any other chocolate protein shake I've had besides a very old formulation of the Atkins shakes that they don't have anymore.- Low WW points- good protein contentDislikes:- little bit of stomach issues the next dayGlazed Donut-Likes:- it mixes up okDislikes:- flavor tastes like vanilla with an aftertaste of a raw packet of yeast with salt. (Hence the rest of that point knocked off)- hard to mix- probably gonna see if I can send it back- more expensive than the other flavors- BIG stomach issues the next dayA few caveats to consider: I am under 30, I have no gallbladder and existing stomach issues, and am overweight still.Overall, if you're gonna order this, get the Gormet Chocolate and get it on sale if you can. This stuff lasts awhile at room temp, so it's okay to stockpile a little if you have the funds and space.
I picked up the Cocoa Pebbles flavor because I wanted something a bit different. I usually only drink unflavored without any additives, but it does sorta get old after a bit, so I tried this out so I could have a treat sometimes, and I gotta say, I think it is really good! It doesn't really taste like Cocoa Pebbles to me at all, but rather a rich chocolate milk, almost like a fudge pop. Of course it does have that slightly "off" chemically taste that most flavored proteins have, but this one doesn't taste as strongly as some out there. As far as additives go, the main ones I am careful of are the sweeteners. Sucralose and Stevia are the sweeteners, and while they are still controversial, I think they are still on the "safer" end of things in moderation. I really try to avoid Ace K, which seems to be in 95% of isolates, so it was nice seeing this one without it. I wanted to try the Fruity Pebbles flavor, but I try to avoid artificial colors entirely, so that was a bummer, but the Cocoa Pebbles flavor doesn't have that issue.Overall I think it's a great tasting protein, especially for a hydrolyzed whey, because some of the others are VERY hard to drink.
First of all, for a 3# tub, this was pretty cheap in comparison to competitors.Second of all, the lid to this thing was screwed on by Odysseus himself, or a pipe wrench with a cheater bar. I nearly knocked a star off just for this. It either slipped a thread in manufacturing or some really ticked employee or machine enjoys a masochistic view of schadenfreude. I mean, I did unscrew it, but I did have thoughts of the Sword in the Stone while removing it. Alas, I'm not King of England (yet.)However, and lastly, the juice was worth the squeeze (pun intended.) I think that all of us who enjoy cereal have an opinion on the best part of the experience. Either we enjoy the first bite the most or we enjoy gulping down the remants of the cereal and milk at the end of the bowl. While I may be the former, the latter is almost as enjoyable and is easily my next favorite part of the experience. Considering this, and this protein, that's exactly the experience you'll have especially if mixing in milk. It tastes exactly like drinking the Fruity Pebbles milk at the end. Trust me when I say, folks, that nothing like this existed in the realm of protein drinks prior to this era.Amongst the other favorable properties of this protein are that the consistency is great and mixes well. While I prefer a blender, I don't like cleaning the associated blender and have not tried it with this particular product. However, I have mixed it with a spoon and a Blender Bottle to near equal amounts of success.Simply put, the advertisement on the bottle is exactly what you'd hope it to be. If you're on the fence, get off and buy this. Just be prepared to face the possibility of the strength test of spinning off the lid without inducing transient ischemic attack.
I'm a trainer and nutritionist and this is my favorite protein powder. I also have IBS, this is an affordable high quality isolate that does not cause stomach upset on my super sensitive stomach or any of my clients ( I put them all on this stuff). I'm terms of flavor though, they did not nail the chocolate versions. I actually really enjoy all the more vanilla flavors and even the cookies and cream (cake batter is our favorite) but the chocolate we only order if it's significantly cheaper than the others and we just choke it down.No matter what protein powder you use, the more scoops you have daily the more likely you are to have stomach issues... I've never had that with this one but I'm not a double scooper.
